Cylinder Numbers | Which Side is Bank 1 and Bank 2? | Porsche Boxster, Cayman 987 (2005 - 2012)
What we'll do is quickly cover which cylinders are which, identify which sides bank 1 and bank 2 are on so you can diagnose issues and solve problems accurately, and share the firing order, just because.
Cylinders 1,2,3 are bank 1.
Cylinders 4,5,6 are bank 2.
The firing order is 1, 6, 2, 4, 3, 5.
If you get a check engine light for the exhaust for a bad catalytic converter on bank 1, you go to the right side of the car if you're facing from the rear.
Spark plug misfire on cylinder 5? Driver's side in the US, in the middle. Cylinder 6? Close to the back.
